The Power of Solidarity
As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we're reminded of its vision for a world where everyone is free and equal, united in solidarity. Solidarity has been crucial to every human rights progress we've made, connecting us and amplifying our voices to demand accountability from those in power. But today, the Declaration's principles are under attack, with harmful efforts to divide us.
To honour this anniversary and the power of solidarity, we've created an electronic quilt composed of diverse patches, each telling a unique story shared by LGBTIQ+ human rights defenders from around the world. Woven between them are threads of courage, hope, and, above all, solidarity - creating a stunning tapestry that celebrates our shared humanity and the potential we have when we come together.
